    Smile and Mental Health Club Inauguration

    On 12 July 2022 Mar Osthatheos Training College ,Perumpilavu with IQAC inaugurated a Mental Health Club named as ‘Smile and Mental Health Club, Thanal’.It was a memorable inauguration event. The event was two hours long and was held in the college general hall and all the students and teachers of college participated in the programme.

    The event commenced by the arrival of the chief guest Dr. Deepa Deepak (Dept. of Psychiatry, Aswani Hospital, Thrissur) accompanied by Dr.Limsy John, the principal of Mar Osthatheos Training College, Perumpilavu. The programme began with prayer (Arya sree, Natural science ,option) . Then followed by a welcome speech given by Elvin C.Z (Student Editor of M.O.T.C) The club was inaugurated by Dr. Limsy John, the principal of M.O.T.C .Dr.Deepa Deepak revealed the club logo.

    After the inauguration the chief guest Dr.Deepa Deepak spoke about Stress, depression , anxiety disorder and suicide tendencies ,social media addiction and drug abuses of the society and consequences. And gave a detailed awareness class on how to manage it, this session was very useful to all. The programme concluded at 1.30 p.m with a vote of thanks by Biyona Therese (English option) and National anthem.

    As a further activity of this club , soothing music is played for students during lunch break on all working days and dress up day is also organized on special days.
